The Peptone Manufacturing Operator is responsible for the production of high-quality peptone and related nutrient media components used in microbiological and biopharmaceutical applications. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all production processes meet Thermo Fisher Scientifics quality standards regulatory requirements and safety expectations.

Shifts:
Base Rate: $23.48/hr. 5% Differential
Operate monitor and maintain manufacturing equipment used in the production of peptones including mixers fermenters filters dryers and mills.
Accurately weigh measure and handle raw materials according to batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Perform in-process quality checks and record production data in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Maintain accurate and legible batch documentation logbooks and production reports.
Clean and sanitize equipment tanks and production areas following established cleaning protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to process efficiency safety and product quality.
Collaborate with Quality Maintenance and Engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve process deviations or equipment issues.
Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements and actively participate in site safety programs.
Assist in raw material inventory management and material staging for upcoming batches.
Ensure compliance with ISO GMP and Thermo Fishers quality system requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Familiarity with GMP and safety standards in a regulated production and/or manufacturing setting.
Ability to read and interpret batch records SOPs and equipment manuals.
Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office data entry systems).
Experience with protein hydrolysis enzymatic digestion or similar bioprocessing techniques.
Experience with using a pallet jack or material handling experience highly preferred.
Understanding of pH temperature control and moisture content testing.
Previous experience working in a batch manufacturing or fermentation environment.
Position requires working in a production area with exposure to powders chemicals and controlled temperature conditions.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
May require working occasional weekends or extended shifts to support production demands.
