Job Summary
JOB DETAILS
Starting Pay: $18 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential
Shift: 2nd shift 5:00pm - 3:30am Monday - Friday (Saturdays based on business need)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial units to move load and store materials throughout the facility. This role supports production shipping and receiving by ensuring materials are handled accurately efficiently and in accordance with safety requirements.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Load and unload materials from trucks trailers and storage locations
- Transport raw materials WIP and finished goods to designated areas
- Verify materials against paperwork labels or system records
- Stage materials for production shipping or storage
- Perform basic equipment inspections and report mechanical issues
- Follow all safety rules traffic patterns and OSHA requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with inventory counts and material audits as needed
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to read work instructions labels and shipping documents
- Strong attention to safety and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Regular standing walking sitting bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Use of PPE as required (safety glasses gloves sleeves steel/composite toe shoes).
- Work performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to noise dust and temperature variations.
