Role Detail

As a key member of KWMs renowned corporate hospitality team youll collaborate with our Head Chef to deliver exceptional food experiences for our internal café boardrooms and corporate events.

This is a full-time role (MonFri 6:00am2:00pm). Occasional flexibility for additional hours may be required.

Were seeking a talented committed and creative chef whos eager to bring their own ideas while supporting the Head Chefs vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality food for daily café service buffets cocktail parties and functions
  • Assist in planning and developing rotating weekly café menus
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff as needed
  • Help with stock ordering and inventory management
  • Support rostering function planning and team coordination
  • Undertake projects as assigned by the Head Chef or management
  • Respond efficiently to client requests aiming to exceed expectations
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards ensuring equipment is well cared for

About You

Youll be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Formal chef qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
  • At least 3 years experience in a boardroom corporate hotel or high-volume restaurant kitchen
  • Strong cold larder and hot silver service preparation skills
  • Experience with stock ordering and menu planning
  • Creative and health-conscious approach to menu planning and preparation with an understanding of dietary requirements
  • Function coordination experience
  • Computer literacy particularly with MS Office
  • A flexible reliable and confident approach - able to stay calm under pressure
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
