Summary:
-
Manage records for aircraft conformity quality documentation and certification reporting
-
Develop and oversee inspection schedules for parts kits documentation and test articles
-
Collaborate with product development teams to integrate design-for-quality principles
-
Create and maintain documentation: inspection criteria test plans FMEA and risk assessments
-
Participate in design reviews: PDR CDR prototype DFM DFA V&V and final design reviews
-
Establish and maintain inspection criteria and plans to verify conformance
-
Coordinate with DARs and DERs to support inspections and certifications
-
Process non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Board meetings
-
Lead or assist with supplier qualification auditing and enhancing inspection criteria
-
Support responses to FAA requests and audits
-
Conduct internal and supplier audits to AS9100 ISO 9001 and FAA standards; implement CAPA
-
Monitor supplier quality performance and support supplier development programs
-
Develop and track quality metrics analyze trends and drive continuous improvement
-
Provide training and guidance on quality standards processes and regulatory requirements
-
Support ongoing improvement of the QMS in alignment with regulatory and customer expectations
Requirements:
-
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
-
5 years in quality assurance supplier quality or conformity inspection in aerospace
-
Strong knowledge of AS9100 ISO 9001 and FAA regulations
-
4 years of experience working with regulatory agencies (FAA ISO/AS9100 registrars customers)
-
Experience reviewing installation assembly and electrical drawings; participating in design reviews
-
Experience with FAA-approved DMIR DAR or DER processes
-
Experience conducting audits root cause analysis and corrective action planning
-
Excellent written verbal organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Masters degree in Mechanical Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
-
Experience in aerospace startups or fast-paced environments
-
ISO/AS9100 lead auditor
-
Aerospace Quality Management or related experience
-
Project or office management experience
