About the role
This is a part-time permanent position 24 hours a week working at St Johns Hospital providing nutritional dietetic services for predominantly rehabilitation oncology and palliative patients. It is a great opportunity to work amongst an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team. The position will be available at the beginning of February.
Your main duties will include:
- Assessing the nutritional status and requirements of patients
- Developing implementing and evaluating nutritional dietetic services for patients
- Demonstrates the application of a comprehensive knowledge base on the principles and standards required for best practice and enhanced clinical outcomes
- Act as a resource person to the Hospital and Hotel Services on any matter relating to food and nutrition.
About you
- Bachelor of Science/Applied Science plus Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics or Masters Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
- Eligible for membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia
- Ability to function independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
- Proven degree of excellence in communication and interpersonal skills including patient advocacy and conflict resolution
