Electronic Technician - Motorsports
Location: Santa Clarita CA
Compensation:$28 - $40 per hour
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Electronic Technician to join our motorsports team. This role is responsible for testing building and maintaining electrical system components to ensure optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with wire harness assembly test equipment and automotive electrical systems along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and build electrical system components to support system operations
- Debug builds and install looms or components as required
- Create or procure test equipment for hardware validation based on component requirements
- Assist Electrical Engineers with assigned tasks ensuring timely completion and prioritization
- Research and validate new sensors and ancillary electrical components for future systems in coordination with Hardware Engineer or Electrical Supervisor
- Maintain and track all electrical and electronic hardware
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma; trade school certificate or two-year degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in test equipment manufacturing and wire harness assembly
- Loom build and repair experience preferred
- Proficiency with harness production tools test equipment and automotive components (e.g. ignition systems ECUs)
- Ability to prioritize and manage projects independently
