Job Title: Services On-Site Technician
Location: Orange CA 92868
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position Summary:
The Services On-Site Technician provides first-line service support and maintenance for Ricoh-managed devices across a hospital campus. This role involves installation relocation troubleshooting and supply replenishment for printers and multi-functional devices. The position requires strong customer service basic technical and mechanical skills and the ability to work independently while walking extensively and lifting equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to service and supply requests for assigned Ricoh-managed devices.
- Install move and set up printers and multi-functional devices including basic network setup and IP address configuration.
- Monitor device supply levels and replenish consumables as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance troubleshooting diagnostics and repairs on assigned devices.
- Utilize remote support resources to minimize onsite dispatch when possible.
- Escalate complex issues to Level 2 support or technical resources as needed.
- Provide customer training and support on device operation.
- Document all service calls requests and actions using Ricoh OFSC and other systems.
- Maintain accurate records of device inventory spares and supplies.
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met for all assigned devices.
- Perform meter reads and captures for billing purposes.
- Travel between customer locations within the assigned geographic area; walking-intensive territories may require extensive foot travel.
- Adhere to Ricoh and customer safety and security protocols.
- Perform additional administrative training or inventory support tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education preferred.
- Valid state drivers license and minimum auto insurance coverage per company policy.
- Basic PC networking and printer/copier operation experience.
- Some experience with electro-mechanical devices electrical circuitry or electronics preferred.
- Strong customer service communication and interpersonal skills.
- Methodical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
