The Air Security Force (ASF) mission is to secure and protect the Air and Space missions capabilities and people through the delivery of counter threats police and protective security effects.
The role of the No 4 (RAuxAF) Police & Sy Wg Sy Co-Ord is a multifaceted position that ensures the safety and security of RAF service personnel and AIR assets at a globally renowned event. A key aspect of the role is the ability to contribute throughout the planning cycle ensuring security measures are meticulously organised and executed. This includes risk assessments resource allocation and the development of comprehensive security plans in collaboration with PM(RAF) PSyA staffs event organisers civilian security teams HOPFs and other stakeholders.
Importantly the role also includes the command management and leadership of RAF Police Reserves ensuring they are effectively trained deployed and addition the coordination and operational use of Military Working Dogs (MWDs) is a critical component forming part of the security strategy. Strong leadership strategic planning and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple agencies are essential.
