Job Summary
Join our team at Sheraton Melbourne Hotel as a Hotel Accountant where youll play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of our property and driving business success. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong financial acumen and a passion for delivering results.
What Youll Do:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations ensuring accuracy in P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Partner with the Director of Finance to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving profitability.
- Manage compliance with Marriott policies accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits maintaining a robust internal control framework.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and contribute to property-wide financial strategies.
About You:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role (hospitality experience preferred).
- Strong financial knowledge and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
