About the Project
The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant will deliver a secure and climate resilient water source for Western Australia. The project brings together multidisciplinary teams to deliver major water infrastructure for the community. It involves commercial financial and delivery frameworks across a multi partner JV. The work supports long term sustainability outcomes. This role sits in the on project finance team.
About the Opportunity
The Project Accountant manages core financial operations across the project. The role oversees accounts payable and receivable supports month end reporting maintains the general ledger and ensures compliance with accounting standards and JV requirements. It partners with commercial finance and delivery teams to deliver accurate reporting audit support and cash flow forecasting. The role reports to the Finance Lead and contributes to financial governance.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Lead weekly payment cycle
- Review and approve supplier bank details
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Maintain general ledger accuracy
- Support month end accruals
- Assist audits and tax compliance
Required Skills and Competencies
Capability and Experience
- Degree in accounting or finance
- CA or CPA preferred
- Strong AP and GL experience
- SAP or similar systems
- Knowledge of Australian standards
