The Post Production Director plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the post-production process for projects ensuring efficiency quality control and seamless communication between creative teams vendors and stakeholders. This position requires a strong understanding of post-production workflows vendor management and project timelines to support the successful execution of high-quality deliverables.
What You Do:
- Collaborate with Production and Project Management teams to establish best practices for post-production budgeting scheduling and workflow management.
- Source negotiate and manage relationships with post-production vendors and freelance editors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee the entire post-production timeline ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met according to schedule and quality expectations.
- Implement and maintain efficient systems for backing up and organizing shoot drives on internal servers in coordination with Production Management.
- Serve as the primary liaison between SHADOW Creatives freelance editors and post-production vendors.
- Facilitate clear communication and workflow between internal creative teams and external stakeholders including clients and Creative Directors.
- Ensure quality control at all stages of post-production ensuring feedback is accurately translated into revisions and final deliverables meet the highest standards.
- Work closely with producers to ensure clarity and efficiency in creative notes and revision processes.
Operational Responsibilities & Communication
- Maintain structured and organized communication channels utilizing SHADOWs internal email and Slack accounts for seamless collaboration.
- Create and oversee internal policies for post-production workflows ensuring smooth integration of post-production processes within the larger project management framework.
- Oversee and maintain Shadows media archival delivery and asset management processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external stakeholder expectations meeting all deadlines while upholding creative integrity.
- Weekend availability may be required for time-sensitive projects
- Prompt responsiveness to urgent production-related inquiries outside of standard hours is expected to ensure project continuity.
What You Bring:
- Extensive experience in post-production supervision with a strong understanding of editing motion graphics color grading and sound design processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills ensuring cost-effective and efficient project execution.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to translate creative feedback into actionable steps.
- Technical proficiency with post-production software workflows and file management systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and creative standards.
Annual Compensation
$125K - $150K (commensurate with experience)
