Essential skills/experience

Responsibility

  • Provides input to the development of engineering scope schedules and budgets for the assigned project elements monitoring progress to maintain those schedules and budgets.

  • Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the Project with other Project Engineers Coordinates the assignment of personnel from other technical and project support groups within the Company.

  • May assist the assigned Project Manager in planning directing supervising and controlling the execution of the technical fiscal and administrative function of the project or study. Helps determine the technical skills and staff hours required.

  • Ensures all engineering disciplines comply with client criteria scope Basis of design and application of regulations and codes. Understands the clients business goals in order to enhance the project work. Interface with Technical Lead on engineering issues affecting the project.

  • Prepares technical reports and execution plans for sub-project activities workshop charter project manuals and documentation of activity for the client and management. Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and stewards issues and Action items to ensure timely closure.

  • Review subcontractors/vendors documentation plans and procedures technical specifications. Etc.

  • Obtains analyses and circulates technical and contractual information to engineering and other disciplines.

  • Review and approves change orders. Notifies affected personnel of all changes. Ensures compliance with Approved Changed management procedure and EMS

  • Interfaces with procurement in coordination with vendors/subcontractors. Assists in bid analysis vendor availability and capability.

  • Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate and matching with tasks assignment sheet specific to the assigned project.

Job Specific Knowledge:

Integrates the various engineering scheduling purchasing construction and start-up aspects of medium to large projects or studies in accordance with contractual obligations to ensure that project is executed in a safe efficient cost effective and timely manner.

Expert knowledge of Clients Relationships Commercial Management Scope Management Cost Control Risk Management Design Management Procurement/ Subcontracts Management Construction Management etc.

Industry Specific Experience:

15 years experience.

Education Qualifications Accreditation Training:

Bachelor degree or HND in relevant engineering discipline

HSE Capability:

Safety Responsible for personal safety and his/her staffs safe working practices for DA. Understand and follow HSE procedures.

IT Skills:

Proficiency in utilizing PC and CAD as well as knowledge of the capabilities and efficiencies of specific computer software to complete engineering assignments.

People Skills:

Proven capability for managing a large number of personnel and/or complex technical situations is required as well as familiarity with industry practices and current technology.
