We are seeking a Team Leader NLP to lead a cross-functional engineering team working on OCR NLP AI/ML pipelines backend systems and cloud infrastructure. This role blends technical leadership architecture oversight mentoring and delivery ownership for mission-critical document processing and AI-driven platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team working on OCR NLP backend and cloud components
- Plan sprints allocate resources and ensure timely high-quality deliveries
- Drive coding standards architecture best practices and documentation
- Own and enhance OCR and document processing pipelines using Tesseract and OpenCV
- Guide AI/ML and NLP workflows including LLM-based classification and extraction
- Oversee deployment and reliability of backend services and APIs
- Manage cloud infrastructure on GCP including compute scaling and monitoring
- Ensure system reliability performance optimization and production stability
- Collaborate closely with QA DevOps product and data teams
Requirements
- 7 years of software engineering experience
- Minimum 2 years in a technical lead or team leadership role
- Strong expertise in Python and Flask-based backend systems
- Hands-on knowledge of OCR systems and document processing pipelines
- Deep understanding of NLP embeddings vectorization and LLM deployment
- Experience managing systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of MongoDB RabbitMQ and distributed messaging systems
- Strong Linux (Ubuntu) administration and troubleshooting skills
- Exposure to GPU environments CUDA and PyTorch is an advantage
- Excellent communication stakeholder management and delivery ownership skills
