Position Title: Switchboard Builder
Location: Northern suburbs of Perth
Employment Type: Full-Time / Casual
Salary Range: $45 - $50 p/h full time with penalties

Electrical Switchboard Builder
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Switchboard Builder to join ourclient. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical assembly and wiring with a focus on building industrial switchboards. You will be responsible for assembling wiring and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly:

Assemble switchboard enclosures and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Mount electrical components such as circuit breakers relays contractors and meters onto switchboard panels.
Ideally strong knowledge of the Elsteel systems (or similar)

Wiring:

Wire electrical components using appropriate cables and connectors.
Terminate cables and ensure proper connections.
Test wiring for continuity voltage drop and insulation resistance.

Testing:

Conduct functional tests on completed switchboards to verify performance and compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoot and rectify any wiring or component faults.
Quality Assurance:
Adhere to quality control standards and procedures.
Perform quality checks throughout the assembly and testing process.

Qualifications and Skills:
Trade qualification as an Electrician or equivalent.
Control Panel and MCC build experience
Strong understanding of electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
Experience in assembling and wiring industrial switchboards.
Knowledge of electrical safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
Physical fitness to lift and carry heavy equipment.
