We are a responsive risk-based regulator that uses innovation and collaboration to maximise our impact to achieve desired outcomes for New Zealand communities.
The Complex Licensing teamlead the regulatory compliance activities for the class 4 societies and trusts. The teams work encompasses the licensing compliance obligations of regulatory parties including their financial compliance.
Te tūnga The role
The Manager Complex Licensing plays a pivotal role within the Gambling Group Operations leadership team its a role which combines strategic leadership in-depth regulatory knowledge and practice with the ability to lead and grow highly specialised technical teams.
As an experienced Senior Leader you will be comfortable tackling regulatory decisions that are often legally complex and/or high profile which could come with an additional risk to the Department.
It also requires effective communication and engagement skills building and maintaining relationships within Te Tari Taiwhenua and across the sector. There is an educational piece as well looking to lift compliance capability within the sector by creating financial compliance guidance.
