SALARY:Starting Salary Opportunity: $ 118400

  • Actual base pay will depend and vary based on factors such as individual experience and skills of the applicant.

BONUS:Bonus at Target: $41440

  • This role may also be eligible for discretionary long-term incentive awards.

  • Variable Compensation opportunities are contingent on individual performance and overall business resultspursuant tothe Bonus Plan; listedamountare targeted values and notguarantees.

ROLE SUMMARY:

As theSenior Manager Corporate Affairs Atlantic you will be responsible for providing a broad range of supportacross the Atlantic regionin the areas of government relations public affairsand communications.You will play a key role in advancing the interests of the organizationin Atlantic Canadaand protecting our corporate reputation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Government Relations and Public Affairs:

  • Lead governmentrelations efforts across all four Atlantic provinces focusing on regulatory aspects and ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Buildandmaintainrelationships with key government stakeholders and regulatory bodies to advance thecompanysinterests.

  • Monitor and analyze regulatory developments andprovidestrategicadviceto senior leadership to advance our government relationship goals.

Strategic PlanningandExecution:

  • Contribute tostrategic planning for communicationsand issuesmanagementandtailornational strategies to regional needs.

  • Supportthe execution of regional commercial communications programs.

  • Help executeregional campaignsthatstrengthenbrandprofileand support businessobjectives.

  • Support and coordinate external communications programs media plans and responsesandissuesmanagement efforts.

  • Ensureeffectiveexecution of public affairs and internalandexternal communications in order to support local initiatives.

  • Developcorporate positioning thatstrengthensthe companys reputation and builds public support.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimumbachelors degree in political sciencecommunicationsor a related field;advanced degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate affairs communications or government relations with a proventrack recordof managing complex projects and stakeholder relationships.

  • Seniorlevel government experienceat federal or provincial level.

  • Strong understanding of media relations and crisis management.

  • Excellent strategic thinking writing and communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messages and manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to build andmaintainrelationships with government officials media and community partners.

  • Ability to provide innovative solutions and adapt to changing circumstances.
