Job Summary

Job Title: Automation & Controls Technician II

Location: Environmentally controlled manufacturing facility (not remote) in Duncan SC

About the Role: Our manufacturing client is looking to add an Automation & Controls Technician II to support modern automated production equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex machines working with PLC-controlled systems and gaining exposure to advanced automation technologies.

Schedule and Pay

$38/hr - $43/hr Depending on Experience

What Youll Do

  • Diagnosing and repairing automated manufacturing equipment
  • Connecting to PLCs to identify faults and restore machine operation
  • Installing and wiring new machines automation cells and production lines
  • Supporting machine upgrades retrofits and system improvements
  • Working with sensors safety devices vision systems and laser scanners
  • Reading electrical schematics ladder logic and technical documentation
  • Collaborating with maintenance teams engineers and outside vendors
  • Assisting with equipment startups relocations and commissioning
  • Following all safety quality and environmental standards

What You Bring

  • Associates degree in Mechatronics Electrical Technology Industrial Automation or related field
  • 36 years of experience working with automated or PLC-controlled equipment
  • Ability to connect to and troubleshoot PLC programs
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Comfortable reading schematics and technical manuals
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); PLC software experience is a plus
