Job Summary

Job Title: Automation & Controls Technician II

Location: Environmentally controlled manufacturing facility (not remote) in Duncan SC

About the Role: Our manufacturing client is looking to add an Automation & Controls Technician II to support modern automated production equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex machines working with PLC-controlled systems and gaining exposure to advanced automation technologies.

Schedule and Pay

$38/hr - $43/hr Depending on Experience

What Youll Do

Diagnosing and repairing automated manufacturing equipment
Connecting to PLCs to identify faults and restore machine operation
Installing and wiring new machines automation cells and production lines
Supporting machine upgrades retrofits and system improvements
Working with sensors safety devices vision systems and laser scanners
Reading electrical schematics ladder logic and technical documentation
Collaborating with maintenance teams engineers and outside vendors
Assisting with equipment startups relocations and commissioning
Following all safety quality and environmental standards

What You Bring

Associates degree in Mechatronics Electrical Technology Industrial Automation or related field
36 years of experience working with automated or PLC-controlled equipment
Ability to connect to and troubleshoot PLC programs
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Comfortable reading schematics and technical manuals
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); PLC software experience is a plus
