Job Title: Automation & Controls Technician II
Location: Environmentally controlled manufacturing facility (not remote) in Duncan SC
About the Role: Our manufacturing client is looking to add an Automation & Controls Technician II to support modern automated production equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex machines working with PLC-controlled systems and gaining exposure to advanced automation technologies.
Schedule and Pay
$38/hr - $43/hr Depending on Experience

What Youll Do
- Diagnosing and repairing automated manufacturing equipment
- Connecting to PLCs to identify faults and restore machine operation
- Installing and wiring new machines automation cells and production lines
- Supporting machine upgrades retrofits and system improvements
- Working with sensors safety devices vision systems and laser scanners
- Reading electrical schematics ladder logic and technical documentation
- Collaborating with maintenance teams engineers and outside vendors
- Assisting with equipment startups relocations and commissioning
- Following all safety quality and environmental standards
What You Bring
- Associates degree in Mechatronics Electrical Technology Industrial Automation or related field
- 36 years of experience working with automated or PLC-controlled equipment
- Ability to connect to and troubleshoot PLC programs
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable reading schematics and technical manuals
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); PLC software experience is a plus
