Manager II, Engineering Bits AI Security Analyst

Were looking for an Engineering Manager I to lead the team building the next generation of AI-driven security capabilities.

What Youll Do:

• Lead and grow a talented engineering team working at the intersection of security AI and product innovation.
• Partner closely with product managers security experts and AI researchers to design and deliver AI Agents (LLM-powered) that drive real value for our customers.
• Guide the team in building production-ready systems that combine Datadogs security platform with GenAI models agents and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Coach and develop senior engineers and managers fostering a culture of high performance inclusion and psychological safety
• Own the delivery of critical product initiatives ensuring technical excellence reliability and alignment with Datadogs high bar for security.
• Participate in hiring and organizational planning for future growth
• Promote best practices in machine learning AI engineering operational standards and career development across the organization

Who You Are:

• An experienced technical leader with a strong background in AI machine learning or data science
• Experience leading and mentoring multiple teams including senior engineers and engineering managers
• Knowledgeable about LLM technologies (prompt engineering fine-tuning RAG agents) and how to apply them in real-world production-grade systems.
• Comfortable with backend or full-stack development in a cloud-based SaaS environment.
• Strong in communication and collaboration able to align engineers product managers and researchers around shared goals.
• A strong people manager able to attract develop and retain top AI and engineering talent
  
  

Bonus Points:

• Excited to work in the security domain with an understanding of how analysts investigate threats and alerts (security background is a strong plus).
• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain LlamaIndex OpenAI API Hugging Face etc.).
• Contributions to AI/ML infrastructure or applied GenAI products.
• Experience scaling products in a high-growth SaaS environment.
