Job Summary

The Opportunity

Achieve Atlanta is seeking an enthusiastic Manager Marketing & Communications to manage and support all aspects of the organizations communications strategy manage social media platforms and manage external events. This key role entails supporting the organizations communications strategies and goals. Additionally the Manager will help strengthen and promote Achieve Atlantas identity and values to students alumni partners and the Atlanta community catalyzing action that supports our mission. Reporting to the Senior Director Marketing & Communications the Manager will work closely with other AATL team members to support the organizations communications strategies and goals. 

Primary Responsibilities

Communications

  • Support the Sr. Director Marketing & Communications in the implementation of Achieve Atlantas communications strategy
  • Coordinate and collaborate with AATL teams to generate content and execute marketing campaigns
  • Write edit and manage content for newsletters press releases blog posts and internal communications.
  • Maintain organizational website including routine maintenance updating content and coordinating with external vendors when needed 

Marketing and Analytics

  • Manage the organizations social media platforms and marketing deliverables execute the organizations social media campaigns
  • Design and execute marketing campaigns to promote Achieve Atlantas programs and initiatives.
  • Track and measure the level of engagement across communication platforms
  • Test the effectiveness of communications activities and adjust strategy based upon lessons learned

Event Marketing and Execution

  • Coordinate and execute external events and convenings that engage Achieve Atlanta Scholars partners and other stakeholders
  • Manage cross-functional initiatives involving communications advancement and programs teams
  • Create marketing and promotional materials for these events and convenings
  • Graphic design
  • Generate and design online and print content that engages audience segments and drives measurable action
  • Coordinate with external vendors on larger graphic design projects

The Profile

The Manager Marketing & Communications will be a positive energetic and proactive team player with exceptional relationship management skills and will be thoroughly committed to Achieve Atlantas vision mission brand and core values. Additionally they will be a self-sufficient creative professional with strong prioritization problem-solving abilities customer relations and exceptional organizational skills. 

Education Experience and Knowledge  

  • Bachelors degree in a related field (Marketing/Communications)
  • Minimum of three years of professional work experience in marketing/communications or a related field 
  • Moderate experience with Adobe Creative Suite Canva and similar graphic design software
  • Experience with event marketing and promotion
  • Familiarity with MailChimp Salesforce Asana or similar software platforms
  • Experience in creating professional content for various social media platforms

Salary and Benefits

  • To be determined based upon experience and qualifications within the anticipated salary range of $61000 - $76000.

Location 

  • Achieve Atlanta currently operates a hybrid model for all staff. Team members work in the office at our downtown Atlanta location for at least two days each week to allow for collaboration and in-person connections. Team members have the flexibility to work the remaining three days from the office home or another location.
