In-school Academic Tutor (Spring Semester 2026)

Applerouth is looking for a few new in-school small group middle school tutors and a couple of 8th and 9th-grade math tutors in South Fulton County plus one American Literature tutor. These instructors are needed to replace outgoing instructors from the fall school semester.

• Role: 9th-grade math small group instructors (focusing on content missed from 8th-grade).
  • Location: School located in Fairburn GA.
  • Schedule (Fixed): In-school from 8:15 am to 2:00 pm Monday through Thursday following the Fulton County School Schedule.
• Role: Middle School math small group instructors.
  • Potential school locations:Fairburn Union City College Park East Point or Southwest Atlanta.
  • Schedule (Fixed): Location dependent
• Role: High School American Literature small group instructor
  • Location: School located in Fairburn GA.
  • Schedule (Fixed): two days per week from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (flexible on which weekdays)
• Base Pay:wage:$25/hour.
• Travel Compensation: Plus travel compensation for work done away from your primary work location.
• Duration: January through April 2026.

Requirements:

• Content knowledge of middle school and high school algebra or American Literature
• Ability to explain concepts in multiple ways for students at different proficiency levels
• Previous experience working with children e.g. tutoring classroom support mentoring after-school programs summer camps
• High school diploma (minimum)
• Reliable transportation
• Must pass a background check and fingerprinting (required by the school district and fully reimbursed)
