Security Management Vulnerability Management
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Vulnerability Analyst to join our vulnerability team. This role is responsible for daily review and evaluation of vulnerability reports generated by Nessus scans and dCERT authority. The analyst will validate findings assess their relevance to our technology stack and determine whether remediation actions are required. When necessary the analyst will initiate incidents via ServiceNow and collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure timely resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily review of Nessus and dCERT vulnerability reports to identify newly discovered risks and prioritize critical findings
- Validate and triage vulnerabilities to determine applicability to our systems technologies and environments
- Assess potential business impact and confirm whether remediation or further investigation is required
- Create and manage incident tickets in ServiceNow ensuring accurate categorization assignment and follow-up
- Collaborate with operational and infrastructure teams to clarify findings support remediation planning and provide technical context
- Track and report remediation progress across teams to ensure vulnerabilities are resolved within defined SLAs
- Produce clear reports and dashboards for management using Excel and Power BI (preferred)
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts including refining scanning processes and vulnerability handling workflows
Qualifications :
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Linux technologies and architecture (essential)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data
- Understanding of network system and security fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms (incident management)
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with Power BI is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical teams
- Attention to detail and a structured approach to managing findings and follow-ups
Language skills: English and German
