Job Summary

This role is based in our Ari Hills office. 

We are seeking an experienced Event Housing Manager to lead our accommodation strategy across Asia based in Bangkok Thailand. This senior role will oversee all aspects of event housing for our expanding portfolio of trade shows and exhibitions throughout the region. Youll be responsible for developing strategic partnerships managing commercial relationships and leading housing operations that directly contribute to revenue generation and enhanced attendee experiences across multiple markets including Thailand Vietnam Malaysia Indonesia and the Philippines.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Housing Leadership

  • Work with the VP of Housing in Asia to develop and implement comprehensive housing strategies for Informas event portfolio across Southeast Asia
  • Lead negotiations with hotel chains independent properties and accommodation providers to secure optimal commercial terms
  • Establish and manage regional housing policies procedures and best practices
  • Drive revenue optimization through innovative commission structures and partnership models
  • Analyse market trends and competitor housing strategies to maintain competitive advantage

Commercial Partnership Management

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key hotel partners in region and accommodation suppliers across the region
  • Negotiate master service agreements preferred rates and commission structures
  • Develop new revenue streams through creative housing partnerships and value-added services
  • Manage annual contract renewals and rate negotiations across multiple markets
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and tax requirements in each operating country

Operations & Team Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day housing operations for multiple concurrent events
  • Manage and mentor junior housing coordinators and local market representatives
  • Coordinate with event directors and operations teams to align housing strategies with event objectives
  • Implement technology solutions to streamline booking processes and improve customer experience
  • Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track housing performance and ROI

Regional Market Development

  • Identify and evaluate new markets and opportunities for housing expansion
  • Build local supplier networks in emerging markets
  • Adapt housing strategies to local market conditions and cultural preferences
  • Represent Informa at industry conferences and networking events

Any other adhoc requirements deemed necessary to deliver the role successfully.


Qualifications :

Essential Requirements

  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in event housing hotel sales or hospitality management
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Proven track record in commercial negotiations and revenue generation
  • Strong understanding of hotel revenue management and commission structures
  • Experience managing operations across multiple countries/markets
  • Willingness to travel if needed

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in the exhibitions or trade show industry
  • Knowledge of additional Southeast Asian languages (Vietnamese Bahasa Indonesia Malay)
  • Experience with housing technology platforms and booking systems
  • Understanding of regional business cultures and practices
