Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Review and interpret architectural structural and civil engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with the project team including architects engineers and construction managers to coordinate the design and construction process.
- Perform structural calculations and analysis to ensure the structural integrity of the building.
- Develop detailed construction drawings including plans elevations sections and details for various building components.
- Coordinate with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for the project.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design plans building codes and safety standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team addressing any design-related issues that arise during the construction phase.
- Review and approve shop drawings product submittals and other technical documentation from subcontractors.
- Participate in project meetings site visits and progress reviews to ensure the project is progressing as planned.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation including as-built drawings operation and maintenance manuals and project closeout materials.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or Architecture.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the design and construction of commercial residential or industrial buildings.
- Proficient in the use of CAD software such as AutoCAD Revit or similar for the development of construction drawings.
- Familiarity with building codes standards and regulations applicable to the project location.
- Strong problem-solving communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with various project stakeholders.
