I. Job Summary
The MBA Finance Intern will support the Renewable Energy finance team in delivering high-quality financial analysis partnering with commercial leaders and contributing to core financial processes. This role will provide hands-on experience in operational finance commercial support and strategic analysis within a fast-growing segment of WMs business.

Understanding of how finance partners with commercial operations and technical teams.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Support monthly close activities including variance analysis journal entry preparation and review of key financial schedules.
Partner with the commercial organization to evaluate new opportunities support pricing and deal analysis and develop financial models for customer or project scenarios.
Assist in building or enhancing driver-based forecasting models for revenue operating costs and project performance.
Support the commodity risk management function through data analysis exposure tracking and helping evaluate hedge or contract strategies.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making across the Renewable Energy team.
Work with operations engineering and commercial leads to gather data validate assumptions and prepare clear and concise insights.
Help prepare materials for leadership reviews including forecast updates performance summaries and business cases.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand business drivers and support ongoing business partnership across the organization.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function including process documentation automation opportunities and standardization of reporting.
