Green by Nature is a values-driven organisation caring for communities and the environment. Were seeking an Assistant Accountant to support payroll accounting and transactional finance activities across multiple business units on a fixed term contract.
This role is ideal for someone building their accounting career who enjoys working with detail deadlines and continuous improvement.
About the Role
You will support accurate payroll allocations reconciliations and month-end processing while also assisting with accounts receivable accounts payable and collections as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate and post Australian payroll across multiple business units
- Reconcile payroll balance sheet accounts and resolve variances
- Prepare and post month-end payroll journals
- Support AR AP and collections during peak periods
- Assist with audits reporting and ad-hoc finance tasks
- Work within ERP and payroll systems adhering to finance controls
About You
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting Finance or Business
- Working towards CA CPA or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of payroll accounting
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables XLOOKUP SUMIFS)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle)
- Organised proactive and able to meet deadlines
