- Ensures that the human rights of clients served are upheld in accordance with state and federal rules.
- Prevents recognizes and intervenes in accordance with OIG Abuse/Neglect Rule 50 and health safety and infection control procedures to ensure clients are kept safe and secure.
- Communicates and interacts with clients and peers in an effective ethical and professional manner.
- Understands and actively participates in the service plan implementation as assigned by the Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional QIDP.
- Assists clients with activities of daily living personal care and hygiene mobility medication administration and dietary needs.
- Understands and administers first aid CPR and monitors/reports vitals as required and communicates the health status of clients to the Registered Nurse.
- Effectively intervenes and participates in behavior intervention program as written per client as applicable.
- Completes all required forms and documentation in atimely and efficient manner.
- Demonstrates active involvement in team/program meetings supervision and agency/community events and activities as assigned.
- Ability to screen assess and provide interventions for clients that are exhibiting symptoms of trauma.
