A vacancy has arisen for a Sergeant (People Ops People Specialist) to serve as SNCO HR at 4626 RAuxAF Sqn RAF Brize Norton on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of being not before 01 June 2026 (or later subject to candidate status).
This post is responsible to the 4626 Sqn HQ WO for the effective and efficient administration/HR Ops delivery and mobilisation of 4626 Specialist Medical Reserves Sqn personnel iaw relevant RAuxAF/HR Pillar policy.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Efficiently operating the 4626 Sqn HR Office.
- Administering the monthly pay upload in a timely manner onto JPA to meet DBS publicised dates and ensuring that all pay submissions are fully justified to stand up to the rigours of future audits.
- Advising upon regulations and apply necessary JPA actions relating to all forms of allocations of pay allowances charges and other deductions including Move & Track actions.
- Management and all HR functions associated with the annual calculation of Certificate of Efficiency bounty payments/certificates for qualified 4626 Sqn personnel.
- Administering SJARs OJARs and Insert Slips including initiation hastening finalising and the management/maintenance of the appraisal register.
- Completing all HR functions in relation to the mobilisation and demobilisation of administered RAuxAF personnel with support of Sqn SNCO Ops & Ex iaw current regulations and JPA Business Process Guides (BPG) including the staffing of Reserve Financial Awards and Pension arrangements to the RAF Reserve Adjudication Service.
- Ensure management checks and 4626 Sqn HR registers are maintained iaw extant RAuxAF policy and assist with monthly checks to ensure accuracy of data recorded utilising the HR Spt Dashboard for assurance.
- Processing applications for extensions of service terminations career intermissions transfers re-mustering PTVR Maternity and Sqn PSBs.
- Co-ordinating accommodation bookings and duty travel requests for Medical Reserve personnel.
- Preparation for internal and external HR RPMC Engagement Visits.
- Liaising with HRC South Sqn staff JPAC/DBS Reserve Personnel Management Agency HQ Medical Reserve Wing RAF Reserve Adjudication Service on all matters affecting 4626 Sqn personnel.
As Reservists in general work at weekends the successful applicant will be expected to work a minimum of 1 weekend per month at RAF Brize Norton or other working locations as required with time off in lieu during the week.
