Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Sergeant (Any Profession) with preference being made to the Medical Profession to serve as Ops Coord SNCO at 4626 Sqn RAF Brize Norton on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 15 June 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

This post is responsible to 4626 Sqn HQ WO for the management of all Squadron manpower taskings both operational and non-operation and the career management of PTVR Medical Personnel 4626 Specialist Medical Reserves Sqn personnel iaw relevant policy.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the co-ordination mobilisation pre-deployment trg and management of all workforce taskings and liaison with Medical Reserve Wing and Med Ops/TMW Ops for all aspects of operational and non-operational deployments.
  • Providing a welfare POC for all deployed personnel and management of return from theatre and implementation of return processes.
  • Responsible for the advising and implementation of Sqn Career Management processes for all Medical Reserve professions.
  • Responsible for the administering management and referrals of Healthcare Professional Governance Annual Review including working with Senior Squadron Clinicians to ensure mandated clinical checks are undertaken and anomalies resolved.
  • Responsible for the management and maintenance of databases including Squadron database Tasking Control Document and Courses Control Document DWR Database and Gen App Forms. Excel support to all other departments including HR for creation and maintenance of databases required.
  • Deputise in the absence of the UESO and in liaison with the UESO develop and maintain an internal Employer Engagement Policy. Additionally responsible for management of annual employer letters liaison with employers of deployed personnel and management and updating of personnel roles on change of civilian employment.

As Reservists in general work at weekends the successful applicant will be expected to work a minimum of 1 weekend per month at RAF Brize Norton or other working locations as required with time off in lieu.
