The position will primarily focus on waste management from onsite operations exhibits great problem-solving skills for waste reduction technologies the ability to interpret local state and federal environmental laws and regulations as they relate to the companys business units. Also able to manage projects and budgets and conduct training for JLG team members. Must be able to purvey concepts and findings clearly and concisely by means of permits and communications to different agencies oral and written communication.
YOUR IMPACT
Assist the companys environmental department
Manage projects related to air permitting environmental compliance programs wastewater treatment storm water management waste management community right-to-know reporting and other environmental regulations
Serve as a member of the environmental departments emergency response team
Work on other projects as necessary in order to reduce environmental related risk liability and cost to the corporation while following applicable laws and regulations
Develop maintain and administer team member training programs to assure that JLG team members whose activities are affected by requirements of applicable environmental laws and regulations are and continue to be knowledgeable about conforming their activities to such requirements
Lead compliance and program assessments of manufacturing sites
Follow up with manufacturing departments on successful closure of findings and recommendations
Review capital projects and major process changes to ensure that the changes appropriately address all applicable environmental aspects
Review and/or prepare various annual environmental reports as required by local state and federal agencies ensuring reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner
Work on other projects as necessary in order to reduce environmental-related risk liability and cost to JLG while following applicable regulations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science Chemical / Energy or Environmental Engineering or related field
2 years of experience in environmental compliance or EHS engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience supporting environmental compliance programs (air water waste) in an operating plant or production environment
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in manufacturing EHS programs including wastewater air permitting stormwater waste RCRA and HAZMAT
Working knowledge of OSHA requirements as they relate to environmental and hazardous materials management
Experience leading or supporting environmental audits risk assessments and corrective action plans
Familiarity with ISO 14001 or formal Environmental Management Systems
Professional certifications such as PE CSP CIH or CHMM preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise dust moving machinery or temperature fluctuations.
The role may require standing for extended periods repetitive motions lifting items up to 50 pounds bending kneeling climbing or using tools and equipment.
Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.
Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.

Pay Range:
$64500.00 - $103500.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
