The Finance & Accounting Specialist will oversee financial operations from daily accounting to long-term financial planning. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and operational execution. Youll partner with senior leadership to ensure sound decision-making efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial best practices.
Your responsibilities
Financial Management Budgeting forecasting and financial analysis processes to guide strategic decisions.
- Accounting Operations Oversee accounts payable/receivable general ledger and monthly/annual closing.
- Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations; prepare accurate financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Internal Controls Develop and maintain robust internal controls accounting policies and financial procedures.
- Business Partnering Collaborate with department heads to monitor budgets evaluate investments and optimize costs.
- Audit & Tax Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
What you bring
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA CMA or MBA preferred).
- 7 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (D365 is a plus) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
