Job Summary

Job Summary:

This position is for a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working in an outpatient therapy clinic. The SLP will provide evaluations treatment and documentation for pediatric patients primarily those with autism and related neurodevelopmental challenges. The role requires experience with pediatric patients particularly those with autism and proficiency in using EPIC for documentation.
Location:Seattle Washington United States
Responsibilities:

- Conduct evaluations and assessments of pediatric patients with speech language and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide therapy to children with autism developmental delays language disorders and other communication challenges.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in EPIC.
- Educate patients and families on strategies to support communication development.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Current state SLP license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- BLS certification.
- Experience in pediatric outpatient settings.
- Experience working with children with autism and their families.
- Proficiency in using EPIC for documentation.
- Experience with Alternative Communication Devices and Communication Boards.
- Knowledge of Patient Safety - Signs & Symptoms of Physical Sexual Psychological abuse.
- Experience with Assessment Concurrent Therapy: Documentation Concurrent Therapy: Treatment Discharge Evaluation Medicaid Plan of Care Reassessments SLP Evaluation Coding.
- Experience with Evaluation Tools - CELF (Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals) Non-Evaluative Screening Tools PLS-4 (Preschool Language Scale) Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience in childrens hospitals home healthcare or pediatric rehab facilities.
- Knowledge of dysphagia management including bedside swallow evaluations and modified barium swallow studies.
- Experience with Augmentative Communication.
- Experience with Point of Service Documentation.
Special Considerations:

- Must be comfortable working with children with autism and their families.
- The unit does not accept first-time travelers.
- Perm candidates of any other facility are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months.
Scheduling:
- The role involves seeing approximately 8 patients per day in 8 rooms.
