About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join ouragileinclusiveand collegiateTechnology Media & Telecommunications (TMT) group in is an excellent opportunity towork ina global law firm andbe part of a growing high performing team inthe regionwhoadvise leading Australian and multinational clientsoperating inarange of sectorson complexandhigh-profile matters across privacy cyber securitydigital regulationand technology media and communications.

The role involves a diverse mix of advisory regulatory and incident response work includingtransactions andsignificant cross-border mattersinthe APAC regionas well as supporting digital transformation projectsand compliance program will work closely withclientspartnersand colleagues providing strategic commercial and practical advice in a fast-moving regulatory and risk environment.

With a strong focus and technical experience in privacycyberand digital regulation you would be lookingfor an opportunitytotake the nextstepinyourcareer.

Key areas ofresponsibility

  • Leadingand supporting cyber incidentand data breachresponseincludingpre-breachandadvising oncyber andprivacyrelatedregulatoryinvestigations andlitigation
  • Advising onemergingdigital and technology regulation including online safety platform regulation AI governanceand riskcommunicationsand media-related issues
  • Managing mattersand budgetsefficiently supervising junior lawyers andsharing client and industry knowledge across the teamtosupporttheir growth and the development of the practice
  • Buildingstrong client relationshipsandcontributingtobusiness developmentinitiatives

About you - candidate profile

  • Qualifiedto practice in Australiawith8 years post-qualification experiencegained in a leading law firm specialistpracticeor in-house role
  • Demonstrated experience in privacytechnologyand information security
  • Hands on experience advising oncyber mattersincluding incident responseandcyber insurance
  • Strong knowledge of Australian privacy and digital regulation with exposure to cross-border or regional workand regulation beinghighly regarded
  • Greatorganisationalskillswith the ability to managemultiple andcomplex matters and work effectively under pressureand within tighttimeframes particularly in incident response
  • Excellent drafting analytical and communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to a growing practiceand developing your career
  • Bring energy and passion to the role
