We are Hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to a leading Nursing home in Donegal Ireland.
Permanent/full time
Responsibilities
Conduct internal audits and ensure timely follow-up on findings and actions.
Lead staff induction programmes and support ongoing training and professional development.
Promote and encourage innovative and best-practice approaches to care delivery.
Ensure full implementation and compliance with Company policies and HIQA standards procedures and guidelines.
Facilitate regular communication and engagement meetings with all clinical staff.
Build and maintain positive relationships with external community agencies promoting community involvement within the Home and supporting residents participation in local activities.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to maximise opportunities and enhance the Homes profile within the local community.
Implement and monitor the Company Health and Safety Policy to protect the wellbeing of residents staff and visitors.
Coordinate regular fire safety training and oversee evacuation planning and drills.
Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are consistently maintained throughout the Home.
Oversee and ensure the implementation of a proactive preventative maintenance programme.
Participate in the recruitment selection and interviewing of staff.
Conduct regular training needs analyses to support workforce development.
Provide cover for the Director of Nursing when required.
Ensure all clinical practices within the Home meet relevant regulatory and quality standards.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years management experience within the past six years in services for older persons.
Post-registration management qualification in health or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience and a proven track record in healthcare clinical management.
Strong leadership organisational and communication skills.
Excellent decision-making ability with a results-focused approach.
Proven ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment.
Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to respond to the evolving needs of the organisation.
