Job Summary

JOB DETAILS
Reporting to the Projects Accountant the Project Accounts Assistant is responsible for all of the day to day financial related activity of externally funded projects. The closing date for applications is 5th February 2026.
ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Ensure all projects are administered within funding guidelines
  • Ensure that appropriate financial management controls are in place
  • Follow all accounting procurement and governance procedures to ensure all legislative best practice standards are met
  • Ensure all data is collected collated and inputted to meet funding body requirements maintain all appropriate records in an orderly manner and ensure compliance with data protection legislation
  • Maintain accurate accounts and records of all funded projects transactions; weekly bank recs sent to all network managers.
  • The project administrator has responsibility forupdating external project system Sonrai.
  • Managing the relationship with project managers/administrators and any other service providers.
  • Ensure accounts are reconciled on a regular basis and project deadlines are met monthly and annual.
  • Escalate matters as appropriate.
  • Provide analysis and insights to Project Accountant.
  • Ensure cover for the fortnightly payment run if annual leave requires cover.
  • Evaluate project administrators requests and provide appropriate and timely feedback and guidance
  • Communicate regularly with project managers on the status of the projects.
  • Carry out other duties as identified by the Finance Manager that are appropriate to the overall purpose of the role
  • Assist in other projects within the team and adhoc cross functional support when required.
