Health & Safety Advisor Night Shift (Temporary Contract)
We are recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support a short-term night shift assignment on a regulated pharmaceutical project in County Limerick. This is an 8-week contract.
The successful candidate will provide on-site safety leadership ensuring high standards of compliance across construction and contractor activities within a live pharmaceutical environment.
Key Duties
- Carry out routine and ad-hoc site safety inspections ensuring adherence to project company and client safety standards
- Provide practical guidance to site teams on safe systems of work equipment use and risk control measures
- Support the coordination and monitoring of subcontractor safety performance
- Identify unsafe acts or conditions and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Manage incident accident and near-miss reporting including investigation root cause analysis and close-out of actions
- Compile safety reports and contribute to performance metrics for site management
- Review and assess Safe Work Plans Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to task execution
- Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks as required during night operations
Requirements
- Experience in a Health & Safety role within construction or industrial projects
- Recognised Health & Safety qualification (Diploma or equivalent)
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
- Previous experience working on construction sites; pharmaceutical or regulated environments desirable
- Strong ability to work independently during night shifts
- Well-developed communication organisational and problem-solving skills
- Capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced site environment
- Must have legal authorisation to work in Ireland
Required Skills:
Experience in a Health & Safety role within construction or industrial projects Recognised Health & Safety qualification (Diploma or equivalent) Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification Previous experience working on construction sites; pharmaceutical or regulated environments desirable Strong ability to work independently during night shifts Well-developed communication organisational and problem-solving skills Capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced site environment Must have legal authorisation to work in Ireland
