We are seeking an experienced Senior Defined Benefit Consultant to join our this role you will provide strategic consulting and technical advice directly to large clients on complex Defined Benefit plan issues. You will serve as a lead consultant on medium and large clients and support jumbo clients as a key team member collaborating across geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert strategic and technical consulting on Defined Benefit plans to large and complex clients.
- Lead consulting engagements for medium and large clients and support jumbo client projects within cross-geography retirement teams.
- Mentor and coach staff by fostering a collaborative team environment providing on-the-job training and preparing team members for senior client roles.
- Drive new business by contributing to proposals and expanding service offerings to retirement and other business lines.
- Manage project teams and budgets applying advanced technical expertise to meet client and project objectives.
- Take significant responsibility for revenue generation from existing clients and actively contribute to new business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Defined Benefit consulting with a strong technical and strategic background.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
- Ability to manage complex client projects and cross-functional teams.
- Strong business development and client relationship management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one anchor day per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $103000 to $170500.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience skills training location certifications education and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case addition to the base salary this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
