About the Role

The Karlup Service is a holistic wraparound service model for women and children to heal and recoverfrom family and domestic violence which runs from the Angela Wright Bennett Centre a state-of-the-art purpose-built facility in the Perth CBD.

The Karlup Service employs a unique model of care which offers a seamless spectrum of offerings whichwomen and children can engage with as they need when they need it and for as long as they need it tohelp foster their own strength and resilience and recreate a future free from violence.

The Team Lead Safe Accommodation is an important operational and leadership role responsible for supportingthe Service Lead to effectively manage Safe Accommodation within the Karlup Service. This role provides leadership to a team of support workers providing 24/7 support within our safe accommodation ensuring cultural and trauma informed delivery of an efficientand seamless end to end recovery service for women and children.

Key tasks include:

• Provide day-to-day leadership mentoring supervision and support to all accommodation staff.
• Ensure staff have the resources guidance and operational support required to deliver high-quality accommodation services.
• Embed continuous improvement by encouraging staff input and identifying emerging operational needs.
• Maintain effective operational processes procedures and documentation to ensure smooth delivery of accommodation services.
• Resolve staffing or operational issues that affect accommodation service delivery.
• Facilitate regular team meetings residents connects and oversight over shift handover.
• Maintain strong referral pathways to external providers supporting residents (e.g. health community services education).
• Ensure consistent communication and coordination across all Karlup Service components including external providers to support seamless client experience.
• Provide timely reporting on service outcomes KPIs risks and achievements.

This is a full-time (76 hours per fortnight) fixed-term position for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

What were looking for

The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:

• Knowledge and expertise in current and emerging issues of family and domestic violence.
• Experienced in rostering and the oversight of a team of support workers (Minimum 2yrs).
• Experience in reflective leadership practice and the management of teams and a diverse range ofstaff.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with staff and stakeholders and ensure strongcommunity sector engagement.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of diversity and social inclusion- including gendersexuality disability cultural age and linguistic diversity and Aboriginal culture.

The following criteria are considered desirable:

• Relevant qualifications in a related discipline at degree diploma or certificate level (e.g. Social Work or Counselling) and/or significant work experience with family and domestic violence.
