Job Summary
Project - the aim youll have
You will become a core member of a newly formed team dedicated to OpenStack technologies. You will join an experienced group working alongside an OpenStack Architect and a Principal Engineer to develop and maintain robust private cloud platforms deployed for our international clients. This is a unique opportunity to shape the operational standards of a new unit working with large scale production environments and ensuring their stability scalability and security.
Position - how youll contribute
- Deploying developing and maintaining OpenStack production environments.
- Performing platform upgrades and managing lifecycle operations using industry standard methods.
- Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC tools.
- Troubleshooting complex issues across the OS and cloud platform layers.
- Developing and maintaining monitoring solutions to ensure system observability.
- Scripting and coding to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Collaborating with the team to implement best practices for the new OpenStack division.
Qualifications :
Expectations - the experience you need
- Deep production grade knowledge of OpenStack including various deployment methods and upgrade strategies.
- Strong background in Linux administration with the ability to troubleshoot system internals.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python shell/bash) for automation and tooling.
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools specifically Ansible Terraform and Git.
- Practical knowledge of OpenStack containerization and deployment tools like Kolla or Kolla Ansible.
- Experience with monitoring ecosystems preferably Prometheus and Grafana.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Fluent English enabling seamless communication in an international environment.
Additional skills the edge you have
- Experience with Ceph storage solutions.
- Knowledge of networking (SDN OVS Neutron).
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) on top of OpenStack.
