Job Summary
- Prepares engineering drawings of plans profiles Typical sections cross sections and other typical details based on MTO Standard drawings.
- Should be able to work under minimal supervision and be able to organize and perform tasks necessary to complete assigned projects successfully.
- Set up project reference base files set up sheets per standards and manage drawings via sheet set manager
- Adhere to client-specific quality control process (CAD Standards).
- Experience of working collaboratively in a team environment with other CAD Technicians and Engineers.
- Be competent do develop and understand basic alignments in civil3d prepare cross sections and/or extract quantities .
- 3D design and corridor Modelling in Civil3D will be an asset.
- Knowledge of working in Collaborative work Environments such as Sharepoint and Projectwise will be an asset.
- Experience of managing junior CAD technicians and developing team skills with focus on improving quality and efficiency will be an asset.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 10-15 years of prior structural /civil engineering projects CAD related experience.
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software would be considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail problem solving skills and ability to think creatively.
- Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team
