Job Summary

As a Platform Engineer at Cellular Origins youll work alongside Senior Engineers to design build and maintain the network and on-prem server infrastructure that powers our cell-therapy automation factory services. Partnering closely with our software-engineering teams youll help automate build tasks create self-service environments and promote smooth collaboration between dev and this role youll contribute to maintaining and extending the factory architecturefrom rack-level physical layout through to servers switching firewalls and storage fabrics. Youll assist with managing our on-prem hypervisors IaaS/PaaS layers and containerised workloads gaining exposure to the full stack that supports our production systems.

Working within a DevOpsSec mindset youll help craft secure repeatable deployment patterns for both the factory environment and our internal CI/CD infrastructure. This role offers a chance to broaden your skills by collaborating with electronics robotics and systems-engineering teams as we scale our automation platform.


Qualifications :

Essential

  • Practical experience deploying and maintaining servers storage and basic cloud resources (AWS or Azure) in either on-prem or cloud environments.
  • Working knowledge of automation tools and scripting for infrastructure management (e.g. Terraform Ansible Python Bash).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelinescomfortable creating or modifying jobs in Git-based tools such as CircleCI or Jenkins.
  • Foundational security awareness (e.g. handling secrets following hardening checklists basic PKI/certificate use).
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with developers and other stakeholders.
  • You have practical experience deploying infrastructure that enables dependable software delivery to cloud and on-prem environments and you enjoy learning new technologies while working closely with teammates.
  • This role will be a full time on-site position at our campus in Melbourn.

Desirable

  • Exposure to on-prem hypervisors and virtualised container platforms (Proxmox ESXi Docker Kubernetes).
  • Basic networking fundamentals (DHCP DNS VLANs firewalls).
  • Interest in robotics electronics or industrial automation systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOpsSec principles and security considerations for regulated manufacturing environments.
