Join CERNs Internal Audit Service and help enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based objective assurance and insightful advice that supports CERN in achieving its mission.
Functions:
- Contribute to the development of the annual internal audit plan through risk assessments and independently perform audits in line with the approved plan.
- Provide expert advice on governance risk management internal controls and process improvements including support to Departments/Services upon request.
- Produce clear and insightful audit reports formulate recommendations facilitate Managements agreement on proposed actions and follow up on their implementation.
- Act as a liaison for the Organizations External Auditors.
- Lead or contribute to internal auditrelated projects and initiatives.
Qualifications :
Masters degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Auditing Accounting Finance or Economics or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as ACCA/CIA would be highly advantageous.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in financial compliance or performance auditing using a professional audit methodology.
- Good business acumen demonstrated in an international environment.
- Data analytics and related tools would be an asset.
Technical competencies:
- Assessment of internal control risk management and governance processes.
- Risks assessment for auditing purposes.
- Performance auditing as well as financial auditing.
- Compliance auditing certification of financial statements.
- Forensic auditing.
Behavioural competencies:
- Demonstrating accountability: working conscientiously and reliably; delivering on promises.
- Learning and sharing knowledge: proposing ways to improve or streamline existing procedures processes and methodologies.
- Communicating effectively: checking to ensure that the message has been well understood.
- Working in the interest of the Organization: behaving consistently with CERNs values and goals.
- Solving problems: assimilating large quantities of information identifying key issues and formulating conclusions clearly and concisely.
Language skills:
Spoken and written English with a commitment to learn French.
