The Whole School EAL Team Lead will provides strategic and operational leadership for English as an Additional Language (EAL) provision across the school. The role ensures coherence of philosophy alignment of practice and the effective use of evidence-based strategies that enable multilingual learners to access the curriculum and thrive academically socially and emotionally.
Working collaboratively with divisional principals curriculum coordinators and the EAL teams supports professional learning maintains systems for tracking student data refines policy and practice and ensures that ISZLs EAL provision continues to evolve in line with the schools guiding statements and international best practice.
This position includes a stipend and will begin in August of 2026. Only applications from internal candidates will be accepted.

Scope: All EAL teachers across the school (still direct report to Principals)

The EAL Team demonstrates expertise in language acquisition and multilingual education and possesses the interpersonal skills needed to build trust foster collaboration and lead through influence. The successful candidate is reflective strategic and deeply committed to inclusive culturally responsive education.
Compensation
A yearly stipend of CHF 6000 is offered to team leads. Release time for this role will be provided; however the specific allocation will be determined in consultation with divisional leadership and will depend on the division in which the appointed person is based. This may take the form of a percentage of time per week or designated dates and times throughout the school year depending on workload scheduling and divisional priorities.
