Job Summary

Exciting opportunities are available for both full-time and part-time Registered Nurses to join the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Epworth Eastern Box Hill. The intensive care unit includes 12 ICU beds 10 Coronary Care Unit (CCU) beds plus procedure areas. These positions are available for experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses with a background in ICU or CCU. At Epworth Eastern our critical care unit is known for its friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere as well as excellent patient centred care.

You will make an impact by:

Delivering an exceptional patient experience within the critical care environment
Providing a high standard of nursing care
Demonstrating empathy and compassion to patients families and medical consultants

To be successful in this role:

You are a strong communicator with a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with colleagues Visiting Medical Officers patients and their families
You have excellent time management and organisational skills allowing you to prioritise effectively and handle competing demands
Current registration with AHPRA
Demonstrate a strong work ethic
Experience working in ICU and/or CCU
Excels in highly skilled high-pressure environments maintaining composure and delivering exceptional outcomes under critical conditions
A Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing (ICU) or Cardiac Nursing
Cardiothoracic experience highly desired

Located in Box Hill Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility and has 15 theatres and expansion of ICU to 12 beds. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac vascular orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology urology and endoscopy services. Our redeveloped site delivers a positive meaningful and sustainable impact on the health and well-being of our community delivering much needed health care services and facilities in Melbournes east.

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses AUD $82236 - $103280 super entitlements depending on registration type year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
