Based in Geraldton

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you passionate about empowering young people We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Facilitator to join the Strong Self Strong Spirit team in Geraldton. This is a part time role (18 hours per week) where youll play a vital role in facilitating an engaging and impactful program for children 8-12 years old.

DUTIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Alongside the Team Leader you will develop and facilitate a strengths based program aimed at developing emotional resilience and self-regulation of children aged 8-12 years old.
  • Provide individual mentoring support for children in a school environment.
  • Engage with families schools other agencies and local networks to enhance childrens social and emotional development.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record keeping on internal and external databases.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will be highly organised and have strong communication skills together with the following:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience working with the target group or in a similar position in Community Services Teaching or Social Work.
  • Strong analytical ability effective communication across diverse groups solid organisational skills and proficiency in administration and IT.
  • Respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and traditions.
  • Understanding of school environment legislative/regulatory requirements and the Family Partnership Model.

Role Requirements:

  • Able to work across other Ngala sites as required.
  • Possession of a current National Police Certificate.
  • Possession of current WA drivers licence.
  • Possession of current Working with Children check
