Job Summary

  • Support mechanical design of electro-mechanical systems including actuators sensors machined molded and sheet-metal components
  • Drive DFM/DFX initiatives to optimize mechanical designs for manufacturability assembly reliability and cost
  • Work directly with suppliers to ensure clear understanding of design intent specifications and qualification requirements
  • Perform and review tolerance analysis stack-ups and risk assessments
  • Define and improve processes for New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering change management
  • Create and maintain clear engineering documentation including 2D drawings SOPs and ECOs
  • Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to align design and supplier activities with program goals

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical product development DFM/DFX or design engineering taking products from concept to production
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in solid mechanics materials mechanism design heat transfer fluid mechanics and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and creation of detailed 2D drawings
  • Experience with DFM/DFA tolerance analysis FMEA root cause analysis and Design of Experiments
  • Hands-on experience running and interpreting FEA (CFD experience a plus)
  • Experience working directly with suppliers and manufacturing partners
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and fast-paced environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational prioritization and problem-solving skills
