The Nursing Programs Manager manages the offices staff and overall operations. This position plans organize direct and control the work activities of the Office of Nursing Programs. This position provides oversight of the Office of Nursing Programs functions and activities for the department. The Nursing Programs Manager supports existing efforts related to education licensure training and workforce development of Michigan nurses and develop additional programs as applicable that promote safe patient care in all nursing practice environments advancing the practice of the nursing profession through health equity principles and assuring a continuous supply of highly qualified direct care nurses nursing
faculty and nursing education programs.

Education
Possession of a bachelors degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Alternative Education and Experience
Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and three years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
This position is open to current Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) employees and MDHHS employees in lay-off status only.
Position Location/Remote Office:The physical location of this position is 333 S Grand Ave Lansing MI 48933. Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.
Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications.
