Job Summary

The HR Data Governance & Automation function manages the development and governance of the HR data and information strategy to facilitate business decisions and foster growth across the East Asia & Pacific region encompassing 15 countries and approximately 15500 employees in total.

Overall the function is responsible for:

Designing & Implementing an HR Data Strategy and Projects;

  • HR Data Governance and Quality Assurance;
  • Data Management;
  • Business Intelligence; and
  • Analytics
  • The HR Data & Reporting Specialist plays a dual role in ensuring data integrity and governance across HR systems while designing and delivering business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. This position requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to translate business needs into actionable insights and automated reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Data Stewardship & Governance

  • Maintain data quality standards across HR systems (HRIS Payroll etc.)
  • Developing and implementing strategies & solutions that optimize process efficiency and data quality in HR systems
  • Providing functional & technical support to users by troubleshooting problems related to data in HR systems
  • Implement data governance frameworks including validation rules and audit processes
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to educate and enforce data entry best practices
  • Support integration processes between HR systems and downstream applications (e.g. payroll benefits platforms)

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Design develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g. SSRS Power BI Tableau or similar)
  • Automate recurring reports and streamline manual processes to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with HR leaders to define KPIs and metrics aligned with business objectives.
  • Prepare data extracts and analytics for compliance audits and external vendors.
  • Evaluating the data collection process to ensure efficiency and integrity
  • Gathering & Processing raw data at scale
  • Working closely with Payroll Data Operations & Rewards teams to drive innovation in managing and processing HR data
  • Support business requirements with ad hoc analysis as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in HR Data Analytics Information Systems or related field
  • 3 years experience in HR data management and reporting
  • Proficiency in SQL Excel and BI tools (Power BI Tableau or similar)
  • Experience using MS SQL Server to write scripts SQL queries create tables etc
  • Excellent communication skills to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Strong understanding of HR processes data concepts (models) and systems
  • Experience with processing large multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources
  • Analytical skills with a strong working knowledge of problem solving root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and compliance requirements

RM4.500 - RM5500
