The Opportunity:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing the entire sales lifecycle which includes prospecting and qualifying new sales opportunities performing onsite/online demonstrations proposing and closing managed service contracts or the sale of services and products. The Regional Sales Manager is also responsible for managing the daily activities of his/her direct reports from the Sales Teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive business plan and sales strategy for the assigned region ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Create and implement regional marketing and brand initiatives leading projects and tactics that support the companys strategy.
  • Identify and pursue new marketing and branding channels within the region ensuring a consistent flow of marketing-qualified leads to the business development team.
  • Build and lead a high-performing inside and outside sales team that consistently exceeds regional sales targets.
  • Monitor the productivity of the regional sales team providing motivation and support to help them achieve monthly goals.
  • Conduct regular regional sales meetings to confirm that all sales activities and opportunities adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and manage regional sales quotas by reviewing opportunity histories and forecasting future sales.
  • Review the regional sales funnel weekly to ensure the pipeline remains full of qualified leads and prospects.
  • Reporting regional sales dataincluding quotas pipeline status forecasts referrals and commissionsto executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to determine regional price schedules and discount rates and communicate these effectively to the regional sales team.
  • Provide daily support and guidance to the regional sales team as needed.
  • Ensure the consistency of sales processes and systems within the region by creating maintaining and enforcing standards and procedures for daily activities.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance and refine the skills of the regional sales team.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the companys service catalog and its relevance to customers in the region.
  • Stay informed about current and emerging technologies by reviewing industry publications and online resources.
  • Document internal regional processes and procedures related to assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for regional sales staff and provide mentorship to team members with less experience.
  • Review and approve the regional sales Teams time and expenses sheets.

Competencies Skills and Qualifications:

  • 57 years of Sales Management experience.
  • 57 years of experience with a Managed Service Provider.
  • Extensive knowledge of the complete sales lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of customer sales dynamics and requirements.
  • Deep knowledge of how mid-size businesses research compare and consume technology services.
  • Proficiency with general office applications.
  • Proven success in developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Skilled in project management including defining work plans managing teams and controlling budgets.
  • Excellent organizational presentation and customer service skills.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal abilities including telephony active listening and customer care.
  • High energy self-motivated and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changes.
  • Accurate and efficient typing skills.
