Direct Procurement Europe is part of the Global Procurement organization part of Operation Direct Procurement we enable growth for Novonesis via close collaboration throughout the supply chain and vendors. Balancing value creation cost sustainability and risk - for the better of Novonesis.

We are closely linked to our Global Direct Procurement organization responsible for all raw materials for production utilities CMO and insourced materials. Direct Procurement Europe is by far the largest region and we have a regional responsibility in a global context.

Our team of 9 highly skilled and dedicated professionals supports our 6 different categories in a dedicated global category team. The global category team are procurement colleagues located at Novonesis key production sites in all regions of the world including Europe Asia Pacific India North Americas and South Americas.

In this role youll make an impact by:

• Supporting the Global Category Lead in developing structuring and implementing comprehensive category and sub-category strategies as well as executing related activities and projects across categories and regions.
• Foster collaboration and business partnerships with internal stakeholdersincluding operations quality sustainability finance and legal teamsto ensure alignment with global objectives.
• Independently leading negotiations and oversee contract finalization processes.
• Delivering on global business targets and KPIs in support of the broader Direct Procurement strategy and roadmap.

To succeed you could potentially possess:

3 to 5 years of solid experience in Direct Procurement or Sales preferably within Biotech Food Life Science or similar regulated industries combined with relevant education at master level within Business Legal Economic Supply Chain.

Further you come with a:

• Proven experience as a Category Manager with a successful track record in strategy implementation contract negotiation and stakeholder management internal as well as externals.
• A holistic innovative and strategic mindset along with a passion with strong procurement skills.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders and comfort working in a complex dynamic and global environment.
• Expected travel approximately 10-15 days per year.
