What Youll Do as an Autism Aid II

• Support therapeutic activities for children with autism
• Implement and monitor behavior plans
• Observe interests and encourage meaningful engagement
• Maintain a safe structured and supportive environment
• Communicate clearly to promote learning and cooperation
• Model appropriate social behavior and routines
• Supervise children and support skill development
• Assist with daily preschool functions
• Step into a leadership role when needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus two (2) years of relevant college coursework (Social Work Psychology Special Education Elementary Education Child Development or related field)
• One (1) year of experience as an Autism Aide I or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Patience empathy and professionalism when working with young children
• Ability to follow established guidelines and adapt to changing needs
• Experience with children or individuals with special needs preferred
• Positive attitude reliability and willingness to learn
• Spanish-speaking applicants may qualify for a wage increase

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen motor vehicle record review and criminal background check.
